I was recently talking with an individual who was diagnosed with an ailment which, left untreated, could be life-threatening. He was grateful to have found out this ailment before it became more serious, and equally grateful that it was treatable and curable. Along with a course of prescription medicine, his doctor had strongly encouraged dietary and lifestyle changes that would help prevent the worsening of his condition as he went through his course of meds, and could even reverse the damage to his body that had already taken place.
You may or may not be surprised to hear what the prescribed dietary and lifestyle changes were: eat whole, unprocessed foods with adequate protein, plenty of vegetables, minimal grains, and no sugars, and exercise regularly. Sound familiar? It should, because it’s the template that 99% of the population could use to stay healthy and fit and ward of disease and dysfunction.
Sometimes the answer is right under your nose. No need to look for magic bullets. The process isn’t easy, but it’s not complicated, either. Get to it!
