Workout of the Day

Phone a Friend

Have you ever had a friend help pull you out of a rut you were stuck in, gym-related or otherwise? Perhaps you were skipping the training you had committed yourself to, or slacking off in the effort department, or just bringing a different energy with you. Maybe your friend pulled you out of your funk with a heartfelt private conversation, or maybe it was a straightforward “yo, quit being lazy and get your act together,” or maybe it was as simple as them asking you where you’ve been and letting you know that your presence is missed. Regardless of the specifics, it’s powerful to have friends in your corner who are willing to hold you accountable to being your best self.

Now, what if you could be that for someone else? What if you could provide a friend with the nudge and the accountability that they need to course correct back on track?

Is there a friend you haven't seen at class in a while? Someone who’s been letting him- or herself off the hook a little too much? Someone that’s been dragging a bit more than usual? Don’t be afraid to reach out and let them know that you notice and care -- it could be just what they need!
