New Shoes


Check those soles! A dilapidated old shoe can spell certain disaster for your foot, ankle, calf, knee, leg, hip health. Maybe you need a new pair.

Do your heals or toes slide side to side inside your shoe? Have you worked through the tread on the sole? Is the sole peeling away from the fabric? These are all signs that it's time to find some new kicks.

Just like we wouldn't have you squat in an excessively cushioned shoe because it creates unnecessary instability. We wouldn't have you squat, jump, run, climb in a shoe that you are constantly having to tight or that you slip out of. Shoes are a personal piece of training equipment, just like a jump rope. Everyone needs there own pair that fits them correctly.

Still struggling on your squats and Oly's after all these years? Maybe it's time to plunk down on some lifting shoes. You'll notice a difference in your performance I promise.

A wrestler wouldn't where football cleats and neither would a runner...a gymnast wouldn't wear shoes at all. There are a lot of choices out there, pick something that fits YOU! Make sure they are a good fit for you and what you are training for. You don't need to spend a fortune either...

New shoes can help create a new perspective. In fact this guy wrote a song about it...
