Do You Agree?


When you become a student at CrossFit No Boundaries, papers are signed, standards are explained, welcome emails are sent; but more than any of this is an agreement that isn’t outlined on any pieces of paper or explained in any emails. I won’t call it an unspoken agreement, because the message is spoken in every action we take, every bit of coaching we do, and is the very premise of our process. It’s the understanding that you can become more than you are currently. It’s the belief in your potential more than your current status. It’s the reason I show up every day, and it’s the reason you should, too.

Perhaps this idea is empowering to you, perhaps it’s a bit terrifying (it is, after all, an enormous responsibility the moment you recognize how much potential you have). Hopefully you see the same significance and weight in this idea as we do. It’s an assumption, really, when you walk through our doors for the first time or the thousandth time that you do so humbly, openly, because you recognize that you are less than you can be. That is really the only reason to be here. The way I see it, the only other options are ego or obligation, and big egos tend not to last long here, and we’re not forcing anyone into anything.

So, terrifying or empowering or both, know that I truly believe in your potential. Do you?
