Every year, it brings the coaches at No Boundaries great pride to see our students entering boldly into the CrossFit Open. While we certainly inject a hefty dose of fun into the Open, the competition setting involves vulnerability and hard work too, and that’s something we want to specifically recognize and appreciate.
Each week, we would like to recognize one of our students competing in the Open this year. This week, we celebrate Alex.
Alex has been a student of No Boundaries’ GPP program for 5 years now, and is participating in his 2nd CrossFit Open. Alex has explored a variety of athletic practices with us through specialty courses at No Boundaries, including Strength, Strongman, and Weightlifting 101 courses. Even with his busy travel schedule, Alex isn’t afraid to put in a little extra work, and can often be found arriving early or staying after class to work on his double-unders or gymnastic skills, or to get in some accessory work. Alex always brings the spirit of good-natured competition to whatever he does, with a healthy dose of humor thrown on top. We look forward to seeing Alex’s continued efforts pay off in the remainder of the Open this year, and beyond.
This Friday is the third week of the CrossFit Open Friday Night Lights - the event starts at 5pm. Come by to cheer Alex and all of our other athletes on as they take on a new challenge this week, and maybe stay for some tacos and beverages, too.
