Coming Up: Weightlifting 101 Graduation Night

temp-post-image

In case you've been living under a rock, we are just a week away from the graduation of our first class of Weightlifting 101 students. These athletes have spent the last 7 weeks digging deep on the sport of weightlifting, and it's time for them to put their hard work into practice with a mock-meet-style graduation night on Wednesday, November 1st.

Like any graduation, we want this to be a celebration of their hard work in the company of friends and family. This is where you come in! You're invited to come cheer on your teammates as they go for some max efforts and put themselves to the test, followed immediately by a gathering for food/drinks at the Dana Point Hennessey's Tavern. In addition, we are in need of a handful of volunteers to help our event run smoothly (help change weights on bars, record weights, etc.). If you would like to volunteer, please let coach Preston know as soon as possible.

Following is an overview of the schedule for the night:

7:00-7:20pm - Athlete's warm-ups

7:20-7:25pm - Kick off

7:25-8:15pm - The big show

8:15-8:20pm - Wrap it up and head to Hennessey's

Come share in the festivities, exercise your social fitness muscles, and cheer on this group of hard-working students. And we promise, this will be at least 1000x more exciting than your high school graduation was.

See you there!
