A day to celebrate service

Just in case you missed it, yesterday was the 240th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. We have always had a strong connection with the military community in CrossFit. At CrossFit No Boundaries we have had some supremely awesome Marines come to us and join our very own community of fitness fools.

Happy Birthday Gang!!!

Today however is Veterans Day, a day for honoring people who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Don't make the unfortunate mistake of confusing Veterans Day with Memorial Day; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who gave their lives and those who perished while in service. A little known fact is that this day coincides with the end of major hostilities of World War I that formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.

We have had the opportunity to forge some great friendships with those of you that have come into our community. Each of you hold a place near and dear to all of us here at the gym. It takes courage for a soldier to risk life and limb for his country, accepting your call of duty without regret or question.

To all our service members, near and far, we thank you for your service!!!
